Review: Glenmorangie Original 10

Glenmorangie 10
Highland, 40%

Nose: Vanilla. Floral with fruits. Citrus. Oranges and honey. Hints of toffee.

Colour: Light gold.

Taste: Silky body - in a good way. Lots of citrus. Sweetness. Toffee. Oranges, lemons, fruits. Progressively spicier.

Finish: Medium length. Some spice. A bit woody. Hints of almonds. Pleasent warmth deep down after a few minutes.

Summary: I can see why it is often recommended for beginners. A very solid whisky. Well balanced and with enough complexity to make a beginner discover something new with each dram while not overtaxing. Got me hooked (in a good way)!

Score: 82/100.
